Learners, tutors and local representatives gathered together on the evening of 17th November 2009 to celebrate the achievements of learners at the Mablethorpe Learning Centre.
Eight awards were presented by Mayor Helen Parkhurst to learners who had demonstrated a high level of commitment to their learning. A further award was presented to Brian Williams in recognition of his contribution to the learning community, supporting others in their learning.
The evening provided an opportunity for everyone to find out about the range of courses on offer at the centre and to learn about the successes of individual learners, many of whom had significant barriers to overcome to achieve their qualifications.

Sue Emery – Adult Learner of the Year
Brian Williams – Contribution to the Learning Community
