About
CG Partnership is a training consultancy based in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire. We specialise in innovative community-based projects that are concerned with widening participation in learning.
Many of our projects have sought to develop rural provision in adult education and training. For example, we have set up a Community Learning Centre in Market Rasen that enables adults from 16-95 years to access learning without having to travel 15-20 miles to the local main town. During the last three years, over 700 adults have participated in learndirect and SKILL courses in Market Rasen.
However more than half of our provision is offered further afield. Many of our projects operate across the whole of Lincolnshire, especially in West Lindsey and the East Lindsey coastal area. These projects include Mentoring Young People, Step into Higher Education and various community courses. In particular, we have worked with over 150 learners in Mablethorpe in the last 3 years. Some of this work has led to transnational projects with a variety of European countries.
Finally, we work on a consultancy basis to a wide range of organisations. This work includes Mentoring Training, Peer Education, Confidence-Building and Personal Development. Recent work has taken us to Peterborough, Nottingham, Hull, Greece, Spain and Ireland.
In November 2004, CG Partnership was inspected by the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI), receiving grade 2s for all areas of provision and for leadership and management. This included a contributory grade 1 in equal opportunities. In the Chief Inspector’s Annual Report (December 2005), CG Partnership was listed as one of the top 50 providers in the country.
