University Foundation Award in Psychological Therapies
The course is designed for people who wish to be informed of the various therapies currently used in the treatment of mental disorders. Major therapies such as chemotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and psychoanalysis will be considered in terms of how they work, their effectiveness and possible side-effects.
The course will prove attractive to those currently working in the field of mental health, either in a paid or voluntary capacity. In addition it is likely to prove a valuable starting point for those wishing to be involved in this area, or more simply such as a general interest course.
Successful students will gain a University Foundation Award – validated by the University of Hull.
