Attendees will learn how to use computers to mix music and create their own tunes.

We are also currently trying to find a DJ to come in and show everyone how to use a set of “decks” as another way of mixing music.

The event was held on 30 June 2010 at the Festival Hall, Market Rasen to mark 15 years since the start of CGP and to celebrate our learners’ achievements.

The evening began with a warm welcome from Janet Farr, Chief Executive to learners, friends, partners, staff members and supporters. This was followed by poetry readings from members of the Market Rasen Writers’ Group who meet every Wednesday at CGP.

The Entry to Employment students presented a short podcast of their activities which they had performed, filmed and edited with the help of Tom Day, one of our Future Jobs Fund colleagues.

Janet presented a short potted history of CGP and thanked everyone for their help and support over the years.

Learners were then presented with their certificates of achievement by their tutors and everyone was invited to join us for refreshments.

The Friday Night Project held it’s first public event on Friday 28th of May which we called the Urban Art Extravaganza.

It was held in Market Rasen Market place and featured Graffiti art made by the young people with assistance from James Mayle of iMAGESKOOL, BMXing, Parkour and the soundLINCS band provided the music.

Using their new skills following the 3 week run up and practice sessions, the youth’s created 3 fabulous works of art and a prize was given out for the best practise piece to Jess Rhodes and Vicky Wilson. All in all the evening was a great success and was enjoyed by all who attended.

Thanks to all who assisted and donated to make the evening possible!
