Too often, people living in rural areas miss out on educational opportunities available elsewhere. Showing that this isn’t always the case, CG Partnership is hosting a pilot of the University of Hull Certificate in Social and Community Studies in collaboration with the Grimsby Institute.

The course, which is the equivalent of the first year of an honours degree, is running in Market Rasen. It includes modules in:

• Approaches to the Social Sciences
• Culture and the Community
• Community Participation
• Introduction to Sociology
• Regeneration and the Community
• Introduction to Psychology
